Learn how to organize your projects and reports with Transect Tags.

Tags are a powerful tool for organizing your projects and reports, letting you categorize by whatever's relevant to your team or project scope — so everything stays organized and easy to find.

In this article, you’ll learn how to:

Creating and Adding a Single Tag

Tags can be created and added from the Dashboard and the Map. Both methods also let you apply tags you've already created.

From the Dashboard:
  • In the ‘Tags’ column, click the icon for a project.
  • Select Create New and enter a tag name.
  • Click Save.
  • Check the box to add the tag to your project, then select Apply.
From the Map:
  • In the Layers modal, go to the Projects tab. (Need help creating a project first? Check out this article.)
    • Check the box next to a project to open it on the Map, then click Assign Tags in the right-side modal.
    • Select Create New and enter a tag name.
    • Click Save.
    • Check the box to add the tag to your project, then select Apply.

Don't see the "Tags" column on your Dashboard? Click Edit Columns, drag the Tags column into view, and select Apply.

    Adding Multiple Tags

Need to tag several reports at once? From the Dashboard, check the boxes next to the report names, then select Assign Tags. Check the boxes next to the relevant tags — or create a new one — then select Apply.

Tags can't be bulk-removed or bulk-edited. Changes must be made directly on each report or project.

    Filtering by Tags

From the Dashboard, click the Filter icon to the right of the Tags column, then check the boxes next to the tags you'd like to filter by. Your Dashboard will automatically update to show only the matching reports and projects. To clear the filter, click the Filter icon again and select Clear Filters.
