Bulk Project Creation

Learn how to create multiple Transect Reports at once.

Bulk Project Creation enables users to efficiently generate multiple projects by uploading files in a single action. Manual entry of numerous project boundaries is often labor-intensive and susceptible to errors. Bulk Project Creation accelerates initial project setup and reduces administrative burden for developers—maximizing efficiency and project accuracy.

In this article, we’ll review how to:

Uploading Multiple Projects

  • From the Dashboard, select Order Report in the upper right corner.
  • On the ‘Project Creation’ page, drag and drop any KML, KMZ, or CSV files containing your project boundaries. Alternatively, you can drop a pin, draw a polygon or line, or use Quick Parcel Select. Click here to learn more about locating a project site.

To upload a CSV file containing coordinates, your file will need to include the following column headers: "Name", "Latitude", and "Longitude." Please ensure that latitude is listed first and that the longitude coordinate includes a (-).

  • When finished, click Next to review your projects on the map.
  • Uploaded projects will be shown on the left-side, where you can click the pencil to change the name. On this page, you'll also want to confirm your project boundaries.

    • Additionally, you can click Assign Tags to add a tag to all uploaded projects for easy reference on the Dashboard. Click here to learn more about Tags.
    • For projects created by dropping a pin or uploading CSV coordinates, you can specify whether your boundary should be defined By Radius or By Parcel.  If you select By Parcel, the boundary will be the entire parcel in which the pin was dropped.
  • Once you’ve confirmed all of the project boundaries and/or assigned tags, click Next to continue.
  • On the final page, you’ll input responses to the context questions shown below. These responses will apply to all created projects.
  • Lastly, click Order Report (#) to start the report generation process.

Viewing the Reports

Once the report generation process is complete, you can view all of the reports on the Dashboard. If you assigned a Tag to your reports, you can filter to locate reports with that tag.

It’s recommended to add Tags to all of your associated projects so they can be quickly located.
