Transect takes our species assessments multiple steps further than an IPaC.
Transect has integrated the same geospatial range data IPaC uses. This appears in the species profiles "data" tab as Range - USFWS ECOS.Of course, Transect takes our species assessments multiple steps further than an IPaC. IPaC only considers whether a species is within range. It does not consider what habitats are present. Therefore, you can run an IPaC report in the middle of a cornfield and have fish show up.
Transect also assesses for appropriate habitats to provide users with a more accurate assessment. Additionally, we integrate geospatial data published by state agencies, universities, and credible surveys that are not included in an IPaC report.
